How has Covid-19 affected the fashion industry?

The fashion industry is changing fast, depending on different conditions. The first reasons that we can think about is the weather, seasons, different cultures, and trends. For example, Oscar De La Renta got his inspiration from flowers, and we can see this in his design. Dresses with flowers, leaves, and fruit prints. It all makes us look for ordinary things in different ways. Also, fashion can be affected by  things, such as COVID-19.

Masks

Covid-19 turned our lives in a different way because we had to spend all the time at home and do our usual work there. We could go outside only with medical masks on our faces. At that moment, a considerable issue appeared - usual mask didn’t look stylish. It was almost a tragic for the fashion world because fashionistas still wanted to reveal their personalities through the outfits, but the masks couldn't give the opportunity to do this on 100%.

So, some designers decided to change it. Collina Strada demonstrated her work - transformed version of medical masks - to the world and received many clients because many people wanted to be stylish even in the "covid" times. People could wear masks and be unique at the same time. She made different, bright, and unusual masks for everyone. Usual for everyone's lines, but different their filling. It looked beautiful with bright colors of clothes or with plain clothes because it gave some spike to the outfit. You can identify her masks because of the bright colors, different prints, broad lines, leaves, and flowers as well.

Combination

People always want that one thing including itself various functions for their comfort. With clothes, it works for them as well. People want clothes to be comfortable, stylish, extraordinary, and fit in their style at the same time. Some people included other paramount factors that need to be in a wardrobe item with the emergency of COVID-19: it must look smart enough for work and not too official for home because people spent most of their time at home, so they didn't need to change clothes 2 – 3 times per day. It was a challenge for designers to create such kind of clothes, but they did it.
Collared shirts and blouses. This type of clothing looks formal but it can be comfortable to work at home. It is suitable for video conferencing and can also be combined with comfortable trousers or skirts.

Online industry

Also, the online industry has grown dramatically. Shopping, trying on clothes, and other things which you could do for less period of time online, and it was more comfortable. Especially, if you are an introvert, you liked that for sure! Even now online shopping is popular.

She created 3D models of clothes that were "put on" by invisible models, and demonstrated them on an online broadcast on Instagram. Self-development

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many aspects of our lives, including ways of self-development. Many people have realized the importance of using time during the quarantine for personal growth. Online courses, studying new languages, developing programming or music skills - all this has become more accessible thanks to digital platforms.

Most people had to spend most of their time at home, so many of them turned to reading books, meditating, developing their psychological stability and emotional intelligence. During this period, many of us managed to find our inner potential, improve personal skills, and understand the importance of constant self-development regardless of the circumstances.
